BPCL unveils an automated refueling system

Bombay: Owned by the Government of India, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has now unveiled an automated refueling technology system, commonly referred to as U-Fill to facilitate customers a better point-of-sale experience. According to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, the new automated refueling technology is secure, fast and smart. The new U-Fill outlets have been launched in 65 cities and are expected to launch across the country soon. Customers do not need to download an app to use U-Fill technology. When it comes to payment, a customer can use any payment app they want, such as Google Pay, Paytm, and others. The u-fill also offers a Quick Response (QR) code and a real-time coupon code. In addition, the BPCL added that if any advance payments made by the customer remain partially unused, the money will be refunded within 48 hours to the customer’s account. The U-Fill system gives customers the freedom to control refueling as the unit automatically dispenses the amount of fuel paid for. Therefore, the point of constantly seeing the reading is eliminated.

With dedicated UFill bays marked “Fast Forward Zone” at our gas stations, inviting our UFill customers to the forecourt offers an experience that would set it apart from any experience that a competing gas station would offer. UFill is one more unique step in BPCL’s continuing effort to leverage digital technology to provide our customers with personalized and new era solutions ”.

The new technology aims to improve customer turnaround time (TAT) at fuel outlets.
